On Dec. 3rd, 2024 at 5PM there will be a live translation event of the message sent via the device. Members of the community are encouraged to stop by and see what the aliens have to say. Once decoded, we’ll continue to play it on loop until 7PM for those that can’t make the initial viewing. We’d like to play it longer to study it more, but we’ve discovered that the device stops working after 7PM, even with the surround sound playing. We assume this must have something to do with an interstellar date line and the aliens’ work-life balance.
